Award winning style: our favourite bafta looks

Awards season is in full swing, and what better way to get inspiration for the upcoming wedding  season than to start taking direction from the red carpet?

We spoke to celebrity stylist, Jason Collier to get his tips to achieve his favourite looks from this week's BAFTAs.

This style starts out with a good strong blow-dry but remember to keep it modern so don't overdo the volume.

Apply a good hair prep product such as OSMO Thermal Defense Heat Protector and tong wrap the hair around creating an s-bend shape, leave out the end to create a modern finish.

Leave style to set and allow for a natural drop out.

For a perfect finish, mist with OSMO Extreme Firm Hairspray.

Blow-dry the hair away from the face and evenly distribute a high shine product such as JOICO K-Pak Protect & Shine Serum.

Using a soft brush create a low ponytail and secure at the nape of the neck.

Plait the hair and twist round into a bun shape.

Finish with hair band or accessory of your choice.

Blowdry the hair for maximum volume, set with heated rollers to maximize the shape and then set the parting.

Once set, gently brush out, creating the shape. Using an H2D Magicurl Waver Wand, tong all the hair in one direction; brush out from root to tip then mist with JOICO K-Pak Therapy Restorative Dry Spray Oil to create that old Hollywood glamour.
