Award-winning gary taylor stuns at hairbiz forum

Now in its 7^th Year, Hairbiz Forum brings together a unique mix of creativity, business and education at their annual event held in Brisbane. Attended by 350 salon owners, managers and hairdressers the event sees a full day of  7 sessions offering the best in education, inspiration and entertainment. This year saw the likes of Laura McLeod, Paul Frasca and The Barber Boys the event also saw HJ's 2015 British Hairdressing Awards North Western Hairdresser of the Year Gary Taylor take the stage. Demonstrating his considerable skill Gary worked on-stage with a cut-throat blade to showcase expert cutting techniques. To compliment this he used bold colour, blending different tones of green to add texture and dimension around the hairline. Subsequent models also featured strong, confident lines with a soft, feminine finish complimented with hues of blue and vibrant red.  Using Mad Max references, Gary used extensions which he pre-painted with black spray paint to create a striped effect, then sliced out these pieces with a freehand technique to create a soft, feathered look.
