Bold, punky and full of attitude: colour this season is set to be anything but subtle. Leading the way in terms of high-impact looks was Ashish’s A/W15 show, where models made a real statement with choppy cropped fringes in clashing colours.

Another strong look we’ll be seeing plenty of this season is simple, blocked colour. It’s a look that works particularly well on dark hair and the catwalks were awash with block brunette locks. At Sophia Webster the models wore wigs, to create the effect of severe black bobs, worn textured and raw. Davines Alchemic Shampoos and Conditioners help to stop colour from fading, so are perfect for maintaining this look. The Chocolate and Tobacco shades will keep dark locks looking glossy.

While we’re moving towards bolder shades and darker moods, pastel colour is still big news. At Gucci we saw light blonde locks fade in to mauvey-pink washed ends. However, for the new season we’re moving away from an obvious dip-dyed effect, in favour of all over rosy washes and dusky highlights, that flow right through the lengths of the hair.
