Ashleigh hodges shares session skills with clubstar art team

The ClubStar Art Team got to learn more about editorial styling recently, with a masterclass hosted by Ashleigh Hodges. Members of the youth hairdressing squad got to get up close and personal with Ashleigh; a former FAME Team member, creative director at Flame Hair Studios and mentor to the Fellowship Project X team. The day started with two demos from Ashleigh, who showcased editorial looks that she had recently presented on stage. Using braiding techniques and hair pieces, she showed them how to push the boundaries and create truly innovative looks. As well as showcasing her styling skills, Ashleigh gave the team an insight into her creative process. She shared the books she uses for inspiration as well as the tool kit she uses to recreate the looks. ClubStar mentor Leah Walton said: "All being so young and creative, the team took to Ashleigh and her weird and wonderful style in an instant and definitely took away a lot of inspiration. She has the ability to find something beautiful in everything." ClubStar is the youth membership programme of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing which is exclusively for hair professionals aged 16 to 25. It gives members the opportunity to meet, share ideas and develop creativity, while engaging with events, competitions and educational workshops.
