Ali Pirzadeh created punk girls with DIY mullets and pastel, self-dyed fringes for the Ashish Autumn/Winter 2015 at London Fashion Week.
The show: Ashish Autumn/Winter 2015
The hair team: Ali Pirzadeh for L'Oreal Professionnel
The look: Mullets with DIY fringes - hair slicked back on either side of the shine with a hard, high-shine finish. Back section worn in tousled, shiny waves and a fringe in one of five contrasting colour worn on the front.
The inspiration: Punk girls who are too cool to go to the hairdresser. Home-dyed, dirty-looking DIY fringes.
The key product: L'Oreal Professionnel Wet Domination Shower Shine Spray
Get the Look
1. Prep hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni.Art Full Volume Mousse and blow-dry in to create texture and volume.
2. Take front sections on either side of the face and brush back to the centre back of the head, brushing smoothing and saturating with Wet Domination Extreme Splash gel to keep hair flat on either side. Pin at the back of the head, allowing the rest of the hair to fall over the top, replicating an undercut effect.
3. Coat the remaining hair with Mythic Oil and layer on more gel; the oil will stop it going hard and crispy and will just add shine and waves.
4. Spray the sides and ends of hair with Wet Domination Shower Shine Spray to create a sweaty, end-of-night look through the lengths and enhance the shine on the sides.
5. Attach a fringe in one of five colours, selecting one that contrasts with the model's natural hair colour. Spray the fringe with Shower Shine Spray too so it glistens in the light.
6. Finish the entire look with Infinium Hairspray.
