Emilio de la morena autumn/winter 2015: get the hair look

Leigh Keates and the Cloud Nine team created the 'accidental bun' for the Emilio de la Morena Autumn/Winter 2015 show at London Fashion Week.

The show: Emilio de la Morena Autumn/Winter 2015

The hair team: Leigh Keates for Cloud Nine

The look: A raw, knotted 'accidental' bun; hair is worn slightly off centre and raked away from the face with fingermarks on either side and a slightly wet, sweaty texture around the front.

The inspiration: A girl that's been out all night clubbing and scraped her hair back.

The key product: Cloud Nine Micro Iron

Get the Look

1. Work mousse into dry hair, using your fingers to create texture and a few waves.

2. Enhance the texture using the Cloud Nine Waving Wand on the low setting, working with big sections.

3. Use a Cloud Nine Dressing Brush to create an off-centre parting and pull the hair back into a ponytail, holding with your hand.

4. Use your hand to create fingermarks on either side of the hair, as if hair has been scraped back when sweaty.

 5. Secure the ponytail with a long piece of black elastic, tying a couple of times and leaving the lengths of elastic hanging down.

6. Separate the ponytail in two and twist each section towards each other, before twisting the entire length into a bun.

7. Use the leftover lengths of black elastic to tie across the bun centre, dividing it in two.

8. Use the Cloud Nine Micro Iron to enhance the grooves created with your fingers in step 4 - this will set them in place and create more of a ridged shape. Finish with styling cream on the babyhairs at the front of the face to create wet, sweaty look. galleryWidgetDec14
