Eugene Souleiman created raw, sexy, super-cool texture for the Antonio Berardi Autumn/Winter 2014 show, celebrating the character of each model.
The show: Antonio Berardi Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Eugene Souleiman, global creative director for Wella Professionals
The look: Choppy grown-out fringes and raw texture
The inspiration: Calculated flirtation; a tougher version of sexy
The key product: Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray
"Today’s hair look is all about creating characters," said Eugene. "We’re tailoring a unique look for each girl to give an overall feeling of raw, sexy, nonchalance. I wanted the girls to look like they had cut their hair themselves. I call it ‘anti style’ style - for me, polished hair with polished clothes is really boring. It's far more interesting to do something unexpected."
Get the Look
1. Wash the hair with Wella Professionals Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner.
2. Roughly blow dry the hair creating volume at the roots.
3. Add in a hair weft in a matching tone to the front section of the hair and cut in to create a choppy effect that frames the face, almost as if the model has cut it herself.
4. Liberally apply Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray through dry hair and then twist sections, letting them fall naturally to create a random tousled effect. For very straight hair, use a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment to provide heat which will help to ‘set’ the wave in.
5. Finally, for a super static look, rub over the crown of the head with the palm of your hand.
