We spoke to celebrity stylist Craig Gangi to find out how he created Anna Kendrick's Oscars hair, which was sexy but dishevelled.
"Anna wore a coral Thakoon gown featuring a jewelled collar," said Craig. "I decided to give her an updo to show off the collar and earrings. I gave her sumptuous waves pulled into a tousled French twist. I wanted her hair to be sexy yet a bit disheveled. The look was effortlessly sophisticated."
Here's how to get the look.
1. Prime the hair with Bumble and bumble Prep.
2. Spray hair with Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion (coming to the UK in May) to enhances natural texture and add shine. Diffuse dry for lift and movement.
3. Once dry, use a 1/2"-inch curling iron to eliminate any frizz and polish the wave.
4. Section the hair from ear to ear and pull the back section into a French twist. Pull the front of the hair, section by section, into the twist and pin in place.
5. Finish with Does It All hairspray.

Craig later transformed Anna for her performance in the show, which was a recreation of
her look from Into the Woods. Here's how he did it.
1. After brushing out the red-carpet hair, add Bumble and bumble Prêt-à-powder to absorb the previous products.
2. Curl the hair, spraying each section with Holding Spray. Once cool, gently brush the curl loose.
3. Create a centre parting then pull the hair back into a high ponytail.
4. Take a section of the ponytail and make it into a braid. Wrap the braid around the ponytail and secure it with pins.
5. Use a wide-tooth comb to loosen the ponytail and create voluminous, loose waves. Finish the look by using Spray De Mode to give it long-lasting hold.
