Top hairdresser Andrew Collinge recently appeared on a BBC documentary talking about the value of apprenticeships.

Andrew was asked to contribute to the programme Apprentice for a Day, a BBC learning documentary highlighting the best apprenticeships available to young people in the UK. The BBC followed Andrew who shared his thoughts on apprenticeships being key to the future of hairdressing.

Andrew said he believed an apprentice with the right attitude could set themselves up for life. "The vast majority of people who do a hairdressing apprenticeship go on to full-time employment," said Andrew.

Andrew Collinge has two dedicated academies, both awarded Ofsted Grade 1 status, and responsible for around 200 apprentices working towards an NVQ Level 2 and 3.
