Alternative hair show raises £201,000 for fighting leukaemia Alternative Hair Show 2015_Alan Edwards_ABH_7471sml Sunday, 11th October saw the 33rd Alternative Hair Show take place at the magnificent Royal Albert Hall in London. With hairdressing teams working tirelessly to create visionary art to present at this stunning show, their enthusiasm to come back every year, financing the entire thing themselves, really shows the passion and dedication to Toni Rizzo and this fantastic show. Hair teams from huge industry names like Saco, Paul Stafford and Tigi presented stunning collections for the show entitled “Aurora”. Incorporating fashion-led colours, head-turning texture and precision cuts, collections were presented against theatrical backdrops. Highlights included a stunning hover-board show from Hajas, rhythmic gymnastics from Anne Veck and a ‘hair-raising’ spectacle from Robert Cromeans. [hji-gallery-legacy] All monies from the Alternative Hair Show go to their own charity, Fighting Leukaemia, with six year old Blue Tobin, a survivor of Leukaemia, appearing onstage to encourage the audience to dig deep and give what they could. The evening raised a fantastic £201,000. It’s still possible to give to Fighting Leukaemia on UK mobiles. TEXT: AHSW15 £5 to 70070 Oct15-widget
