The
Alan d Academy in East London recently hosted a cutting class for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, hosted by six industry pros.
The evening was split into two parts, starting with presentations from Sean Moore from HOB Salons, Lauren Arstall from The Colour Room and Rush's Dale Herne. Each showcased their own unique take on cutting, with Sean showcasing curls, Lauren presenting a head-hugging style and Dale demonstrating how to soften a strong style.
Next up were FAME Team member
Simon Tuckwell of Zullo & Holland,
Mahogany’s Jack Akers and Oon Ng from
Sassoon. Simon's chosen look was a modern take on 70s style, followed by asymmetric precision from Jack and Navajo inspiration for Oon.
To round off the evening, session star Sam Burnett took to the hot seat to be interviewed by Fellowship president, Errol Douglas MBE. A former FAME team member himself a decade ago, Sam talked to the audience about his impending Hare & Bone salon launch, as well as presenting a model reflecting his new monochromatic branding and offering inspirational advice to those in attendance.
