The carnival-inspired Affinage Roadshow took place at four venues throughout the UK this June, showcasing the talents of global ambassador Tracey Devine-Smith and her fellow educator Janer Stewart.
The Roadshow, held in conjunction with some of the leading Affinage distributors kicked off in Huddersfield with Adel Professional, before heading on to Northampton for Professional Choice customers, then Hemel Hempstead in conjunction with PHD before the finale in Swansea to the delight of Salon Connection customers.
Tracey Devine headed up the show that took influences from carnival, tapestry and tribal themes using the brands array of colour products including Colour Dynamics and Infiniti.
Packed with plenty of tips and advice, Tracey and Janer combined new innovative techniques such as neon stitching, braiding, creative colouring and even a swim cap crafted from tissue paper and gel. However there were plenty of traditional techniques thrown into the mix too, such as using a pintail comb to create fabulous ‘big’ hair. “Once you’ve grasped the traditional techniques you can develop them into something spectacular, but you have to start with the basics, always,” said Tracey.
Working on a total of eight models, Tracey demonstrated some truly dynamic hairdressing that could easily be taken back to the salon and adapted.
