Colour-Campaign-logo.jpgOver the next three months we'll be sharing lots of tips and techniques from some of the country's most-respected hair colourists for improving your hair colour business.

Here's how to create this brunette look infused with smokey browns and almost black shades, as created by Carolyn Newman at Charles Worthington for L'Oréal Professionnel.

  • Charles-Worthington-LP.jpgFrom hairline to crown, a teardrop section was isolated from the rest of the hair.

  • On the left side a long rectangular section was taken from the corner of the brow down to behind the ear and isolated.

  • On the right side a curved section was taken from the temple to the ear and isolated.

  • Starting with the teardrop slice in contrasting colours of smokey brown, royal brown and nearly black and cover with foil.

  •  Apply deeper shades for definition to both side sections and cover with foil.

  • Hair was blow-dried and straightened with irons to create texture.
