I joined more than 3,000 hairdressers from
Toni & Guy salons all over the world at the company’s Mainstage event at Kensington Olympia on Sunday night.
The crowd was buzzing with anticipation ahead of the annual event’s awards presentation and onstage spectacular – and they weren’t disappointed.

Pop star
Jamelia – who, along with supermodels Erin O’Connor and Helena Christensen, co-created Toni & Guy’s new
model.me product range – was first onstage, with a roof-raising performance of her hits Superstar and Beware of The Dog.
Toni and Christian Mascolo and Sacha and James Mascolo-Tarbuck then introduced the first of many international award-winners from across the Toni & Guy and
essensuals businesses, with accolades going to teams and individuals in celebration of everything from team spirit to talented receptionists.
The global artistic team’s new Kaizen collection – featured exclusively in this week’s HJ – made its stage debut and, following Toni & Guy’s work creating catwalk-ready looks at the recent London Fashion Week, models in the latest collections from up-and-coming designers Gareth Pugh and Danielle Scutt wowed the crowds.
The action-packed event drew to a dramatic close with some stunning avant-garde presentations from Toni & Guy’s global artistic team.
With a hectic
Salon International weekend looming, I bowed out of the after-party at London’s Egg nightclub, but the rest of the party-goers danced long into the night, with a host of showbiz guests.
Read more about the night, including a full line-up of winners and exclusive photos, in HJ’s 9 November issue.
