Alexa bucks glam trend at new york gala

The Hollywood elite opted for glam updos at the recent Costume institute Gala in New York but Brit girl Alexa Chung kept things London cool with her dishevelled do which flew in the face of the primped and preened beautiful people at the high-class event.  Fashion favourite Alexa didn't go for a fancy gown or full-length frock but instead sported a monocrome, frontier style suit with black slacks and a neck ribbon tie worn with a white shirt and black braces.

Instead of looking silly and out of place, Alexa outshone the glitteratti with her downbeat yet chic style which had more than a hint of  high priestess of rock Patti Smith about it.
