One to watch 2013: brooke candy

As the 90s trend continues to roll on, I can't help but be inspired by the day-glo rave style of rapper Brooke Candy.

I'm sure her style isn't quite to everyone's taste, but there are certainly elements of lots of trends there that we can take away.

Braids continue to be a big story for Spring/Summer 2013, and on the catwalks we increasingly saw stylists choose to be more imaginative with styles - using fabrics or wefts of contrasting coloured hair to add an extra dimension. Key shows at fashion week where we saw these looks include Todd Lynn, Bora Aksu and Laura Siegel.

Pastel hues also continue to be a trend, as clients continue to be brave with their colour choices and embrace ultra-fake looks.

And as for that fringe! I love a choppy short fringe, and we saw plenty of those on the catwalks too - most literally at Aminaka Wilmont.

The whole package might be a bit scary for the average client, but there's plenty about Brooke's look to love.
