Y salon partners with local designers for salon windows

Y Salon in Newcastle has cemented its reputation as a fashion destination by showcasing the work of local designers in its windows.
The Eldon Garden salon is currently showcasing the work of local designer, Rebecca Byers, and each month a new piece will be put on display.
Salon owners Angela and Les Lowery and their daughter Montana are no stranger to the fashion industry; as regular faces backstage at London Fashion Week, they know the impact that the right outfit can make.
Angela says: "We feel it is important to support new and emerging talent within the creative industry. As hair and clothes go hand in hand to create a look, we feel it is the right move for us to showcase these young designers by creating an ongoing awareness to our clients that each are as important as each other to create a total style.
"We have some amazing talent in this country and young people need all the support we can give them in order to develop and grow as a person as well as in business."
