ExCel London

The live stages in the main Hair Show at Salon International always create a buzz, and 2008 will be no exception, with a diverse mix of exhibitors lining up a fantastic blend of creative and educational displays.

One of the focal points of the exhibition will, as always, be the HJ Live stage, which will offer the usual combination of creative and educational presentations by some of the biggest names in hairdressing. But the Hair Show will be dotted with other stages, large and small.

At the larger end of the scale, and also presenting the very best in British hairdressing, will be the Fellowship for British Hairdressing stage. Included on the busy schedule are presentations by Paul Scully, Mark Leeson, Beverly C and Errol Douglas - to name but a few.

The Wahl stage always attracts a crowd, with a mix of demonstrations and live acts. This year, European director Simon Shaw will be presenting the latest techniques and products, along with the Wahl artistic team and on-stage performances from a break-dancing troupe.

The aim of the on-stage presentations will be to show how cutting with clippers can be 'quicker, easier and more fun'.

Well-known London hairdresser Adee Phelan will appear on the Hair Tools stage demonstrating how to use the company's range of electronic stylers, including new product The Vibe - a vibrating ceramic straightener.

The creative team from Chill will be demonstrating the latest styling techniques, with an emphasis on using a cocktail of products to achieve the most on-trend results.

The TONI&GUY stage will include live demonstrations of how to create styles from the new Flux collection - also featured in the group's latest glossy coffee-table book and DVD box set.

Stirring up some excitement on the Corioliss stage will be Lee Stafford and the team from myhairdresser.com, demonstrating the latest models from its range of funky styling tools.

Visit the Schwarzkopf Professional stage for showcases from leading international stylists from the company's global portfolio, with artists travelling from Thailand, China, Spain, Italy and Brazil.

The Essential Looks autumn/winter Eclectic collection will be presented by the Schwarzkopf UK ambassadors in a series of shows throughout the event.

Habia is promising the most exciting line-up yet on its live stage, with the Andrew Collinge artistic team making its third appearance, demonstrating styles that have helped make it a success, while the Habia international team will present the latest trends from around the globe.

The NHF Inspire Team will present its own take on current cutting trends.

Mark Leeson will be one of the star attractions on FHI Heat's live stage along with Sharon Peak and the company's artistic director, Gary Sunderland. Expect glamorous catwalk shows with looks created using the company's range of products.

Highlights on the Racoon live stage will include presentations by Errol Douglas and Nick Malenko, with on-going educational and creative presentations giving visitors the chance to get up-close-and-personal with the company's latest and greatest product lines.

Patrick Cameron and Desmond Murray will lead the team on the BaByliss PRO stage, showcasing the company's classic essentials and latest products.

Chris Foster will also bring his own brand of showmanship to the stage, and the stand will again feature the 'goldfish bowl', offering visitors an insight into the preparation that a live show entails.
