What can hairdressers expect from fashion week ?

New York Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow, so as the world's fashion eyes look ahead at what designers will be offering next season, what can hairdressers expect? Autumn/Winter is all about texture - from gentle grunged lengths to cropped pixie cuts - but what will everyone be wanting come spring?

antonio-beradi1.jpgDarren Fowler from Clipso London will be working on the Bernard Chandrans show and says, "During the upcoming Fashion Week, we will expect to see hair with that famous texture element, as well as very polished looks. Hair styles will definitely be much sleeker and cleaner, but will be contrasted with slightly unfinished finishes."

rmoschino.jpgNelson Brown agrees. A regular at London Fashion Week, he predicts that textured hair will continue to be popular, as every hairstyle can look slightly unique and individual. "This has created a real movement away from more contrived curls, allowing individual texture to come through," he adds. "This also can be replicated by using techniques to exaggerate this 2010 trend."
