Wella professionals trend vision award: regional finalists announced

Following four regional heats, 36 finalists in the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award have been chosen to compete at the UK final in September 2011 in one of the hairdressing industry's most prestigious creative competitions.

The finalists were whittled down from over 800 initial photographic entries, with 144 semi-finalists then presenting at regional heats across the country judged by a panel of industry experts. 

The lucky 20 Young Talent entrants and 16 Color competitors will now go on to fight for the chance to represent the UK at the International Final in New York this October.

The live shows saw Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award 2010 UK gold winners Dan Spiller of Marc Antoni and Lesley Smith of K2S present their interpretations of Passionista and Lumina, while Akin Konizi and Christel Lundqvist of HOB Academy presented Glamazon and Polaris. 

Bruce Masefield and Edward Darley of Sassoon Academy then took to the stage to showcase their latest collection, TRIBE 1 - a colourful mix of youthful cool and hyper individuality. 

Finally, competitors and models took to the stage, before the UK finalists were announced. 

The winners from each region will now present at the UK final on Monday 26 September in London at a glittering show hosted by Alex Zane and judged by the the best in the industry.
