Wella Professionals recently hosted an exclusive gathering for its Wella RED members, to pay homage to hairdressing history in Paris at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs

Wella RED is an exclusive business partnership programme that focuses on community, education and rewards. This occasion ticked all of these boxes as the group gathered in Paris to celebrate the Des Cheveux et des poils (Hair and Hairs) exhibition. The exhibition will run until September 17 2023.

The exhibition explores the relationship between the body and fashion, and how hairstyles and hair grooming has contributed to the construction of appearances for centuries. It explores 600 works, from the 15th century to present day, the themes inherent in the history of hairstyles and the questions related to facial and bodily hair.Upon arrival, RED guests were greeted by Wella’s Global Creative Artist, Alexis Ferrer, who hosted an exclusive guided tour. They were also treated to three dynamic hair shows by Wella global artists Ivan Arniaud, Alessandro Squarza and Marco Firriolo. UK and Ireland Colour and Trends Ambassador, Jordanna Cobella, took to the stage too with her masterpiece hair show, ‘Alter-Ego’. The soiree was also attended by the UK and Ireland General Manager, Max Amen, and Head of Education, Craft and Community UK and Ireland, Allison Hargreaves.

Allison comments: “It was wonderful to be in the fashion capital of the world with some of our exclusive RED members celebrating our heritage. RED is a unique programme that unites, inspires and educates our community. This entire event has been spectacular, as have the hair shows by our Wella artists, which all culminated in a memorable event for everyone.”

Wella's RED membership presents unique experiences and, on this occasion, UK and Ireland guests enjoyed an exclusive programme of activities. This included a champagne lunch in a rooftop restaurant overlooking Paris and an executive sightseeing tour in a dining coach with a 5-course meal. The Parisian event was an opportunity for guests to combine business with pleasure, whilst soaking up the inspiration from the exhibition.
