Wella Professionals colour research has revealed that clients know more about their salon services than technicians might have thought.
The survey of 2,000 women suggested that 65% of women know what colour is used on their hair, 40% are conscious of the ingredients and 35% worry about reactions to professional colour.
Despite this increased awareness of the services available, the research also suggested that 70% of women love getting their hair coloured professionally with 53% remaining loyal to the same salon time after time for follow-up colour appointments. What's more, 15% confessed to spending more time with their colourist than with their partner!
When asked the main reason for booking for colour services, the majority of those polled (57%) admitted that grey coverage was top of their list.
The latest Wella Professionals colour research was undertaken to coincide with the launch of
Innosense; the breakthrough new professional colour formulated with ME+ to reduce the risk of developing allergies.
Wella Professionals global creative director of colour, Josh Wood, comments: "People who colour their hair are increasingly aware of product ingredients and are conscious of the choices they make. KOLESTON Perfect Innosense offers them the same perfect results they would expect from the brand but with a reduced risk of developing allergy."*
*Although the risk of developing new allergy is reduced, there remains a risk of allergic reaction that can be severe. ME+ is present in Pure Naturals, Rich Naturals and Deep Browns of the Koleston perfect Innosense brand.
