Wella professionals announces winners of uk and ireland trend vision award 2011

Wella Professionals announced the UK and Irish winners of Trend Vision 2011 in a glittering ceremony at the Roundhouse in London.

The legendary music venue in Camden played host to more than 700 of the industry's finest in a night which saw the brightest young hairdressers in the country rewarded for their talent.

Hosted by TV personality Alex Zane, the event also saw the audience enjoy three inspirational shows from Toni&Guy, D&J Ambrose and the Sassoon Academy as well as a performance from chart-topping indie band, Scouting for Girls.

Competitors started their day at the Wella Professionals World Studio in London, creating a total look inspired by one of this year's four trends; Lumina, Passionista, Glamazon and Polaris - moods developed by Wella Professionals.

This year's final saw 23 of the UK and Ireland's most talented young stylists, plus 19 of the  best colourists battle it out, with the Gold winners now going on to represent the UK and Ireland at the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award International Final in New York on Sunday 30th October 2011.

SILVER: Young Talent Category: Aisling Carroll, Norman & Brown, Dublin 6

SILVER: Color Category:  Joanne O'Neill, Joanne O'Neill Hairdressing, Co. Antrim

BRONZE: Young Talent Category: Rebekah Edwards, Scruples Hair & Beauty, Co. Down

BRONZE: Color Category: Leonora Ribeiro, Foundation, Dublin 8
