Wella professionals announces winners at first international trend vision award creative retreat

Wella Professionals reinvented its International Trend Vision Award for 2018 with a 'money-can't-buy Creative Retreat Experience' for its national Trend Vision Award Creative and Color Vision gold winners. Over 76 national winners from 43 countries were invited to Lisbon to take part in the three-day Creative Retreat Experience, which was designed to take their award-winning skills to the next level. Sylvie Moreau, Coty Professional Beauty's president told HJ exclusively: "It's the 16th year of the International Trend Vision Awards and we wanted to continue reinventing ourselves and stay fresh. We are really committed to being the company that supports finding the best young talents and supporting them in their journey." She added: "We still have a Creative and Color Vision International winner. A jury of 16 mentors voted on who would win this year based on their national Trend Vision looks. At the same time, we wanted to use the International Trend Vision Awards Creative Retreat Experience to make all of the national winners take centre-stage with team winners announced for each challenge."   She explained the aim of the new format is to help the national winners develop on their current success once the awards are over. The three-day retreat featured masterclasses and challenges with leading names in the industry, including Rossano Ferretti and Eugene Soleiman. The national winners were divided into 10 teams and competed in the challenges within their teams using their team's two mentors to help them at every stage. Sylvie said: "One of the vectors for success in any profession in life is to have a support system and network that can support you and working together in teams can help them to do that. Through these masterclasses, where they learn and creative challenges where they work in teams with two amazing mentors, they will learn a lot and the content of those challenges and masterclasses is essentially craft - colour, cut, style, creative vision and also social media profiling and curating your own personal brand as a stylist so you can leverage your influence and power in the new digital world.
