Vintage techniques hit the red carpet

I've always argued that to call yourself a great hairdresser you need to be able to turn your hand to anything - including styles that you may not be asked to do every day. And with celebs a huge influence over what the rest of us wear, you could be asked to create absolutely anything. Vintage techniques such as finger waves and Marcel waves were one of the most popular looks this week on the red carpet, as celebrities harked back to the glory days of good old Hollywood glamour. Iman looks absolutely stunning and showed that anything her young counterparts can do, she can certainly do better. Kate Bosworth and Jessica Alba also looked like innocent Hollywood starlets with simple styles that looked like they had just stepped off the catwalk.
