Paul Hanlon created girl-next-door updos for the Vera Wang Autumn/Winter 2015 show at New York Fashion Week.
The show: Vera Wang Autumn/Winter 2015
The hair team: Paul Hanlon for Bumble and bumble
The look: A DIY-looking knot with a combed-over fringe.
The inspiration: Hair was styled to look as though the girl had done her hair herself after missing a few days of shampoos for a natural-looking greasiness.
The key product: Bumble and bumble Sumotech
Get the Look
1. Start hair off with a messy, wavy look by taking a curling iron to the hair.
2. Pull the hair into a ponytail positioned in the middle of the head.
3. Take Sumotech and slick the sides for a greasy look. Spray Thickening Hairspray on the length of the ponytail before wrapping into two buns, securing with hair pins as needed.
4. Pull out two pieces of the hair to stick out (nearly) horizontally so that they are visible from the front. Baby hairs by the hairline were styled to look like windblown fringe. Finish with Does It All.
