UPDATE from Government - Today it has been announced that, with one day's notice, beauty services to the face cannot resume on 1 August as previously confirmed by Government. The reopening has been postponed to 15 August at the earliest. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDTh_iQjXC0/ Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that ‘close contact services’ such as beauty will be able to fully reopen in England from Saturday 1 August. It's welcomed news to the beauty industry who were able to partially open on the 13 July but with all services to the face restricted. In the latest announcement, the Prime Minister added that new powers will be given to local authorities to control and contain local outbreaks such as the local lockdown we have witnessed in Leicester. This includes being able to close specific types of premises in a whole area if there is seen to be a risk of spreading the virus. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCvdzr3h_kR/ Hilary Hall, chief executive of the NHBF said, “This is fantastic news for thousands of people in the beauty industry who have, up until now, been unsure about the future of their businesses.
