Uk triumphs at international wella trend vision award
Jake Unger from HOB Salons clinched Gold for the UK in the Young Talent category at the Wella Professionals International Trend Vision Award.
Jake, from the Camden Town salon, beat 43 other contestants with his interpretation of the 2011 trend Polaris.
A bleached shaved triangle gave his black bob shape a creative edge and drew gasps from the audience as it walked the runway in New York.
Jake had spent months perfecting the look, which won him the UK title back in September. China was awarded Gold in the Color Category.
Jake also won the People's Choice award, which was voted by hairdressers at the Trend Vision final as well as people watching live streaming of the event.
