In a long and much-acclaimed hairdessing career, Trevor Sorbie is the only hairdresser to have won HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year four times and he has also received an MBE.The latest accolade is the most novel yet: he has been nominated by the people of Scotland to have a bus named after him!
Bus company Arriva asked customers to nominate local heroes to name the buses after and Trevor was chosen along with former Scotland football international Gordon McQueen.
Paisley-born Trevor said "It goes further than an honour. I'm touched the people of the Glasgow and Paisley areas have nominated me to have my name on a bus."
"I've had some wonderful awards, even from the Queen," added Trevor. "But this is right up there for me."
The Trevor Sorbie bus will run on the 103 route to Renfrew.
