2012 looks set to be the year that flapper fashion makes a mainstream comeback, with collections from Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Marchesa all taking their cue from the roaring 20s.
And while the catwalks are full of fringed dresses, drop-waisted gowns and glittering embellishments, the trend is also perfect for hairdressers - providing an easy way for clients to embrace this super-glamorous trend.
While outfits from the era tend to suit the 1920's straight-up, straight-down silhouette, hairstyles are adaptable for just about everyone.
Sculpted fingerwaves, super-glossy finishes heavy with product, and elegant updos accessorised with sparkling headbands all provide a way to channel the roaring 20s look.
It's not just catwalks that are turning back to the decadent era either - thanks to TV and big-screen hits, the decadent deco era has never been more popular.
Here we take a look at some of the most stylish stars helping the flapper era take off this season...

Silent film The Artist is nominated for best picture at just about every award ceremony going, with star Bérénice Bejo showing off a series of elegant fingerwaves, elaborate headbands and cloche hats.

TV series Boardwalk Empire is set in prohibition-era America and brings together all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's golden era. Pin-curls, ornate hair accessories and lashings of lacquer for the boys ensure this show is oozing with glamour.

2012 also sees the release of Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of The Great Gatsby, with Carey Mulligan starring as the novel's leading lady, Daisy Buchanan.
Early shots from the film's set sees Carey with a sleek, head-hugging crop, dressed up with feathers and jewelled accessories. Released in December, the film's fashion looks set to dominate the high street this season.

The look has already taken the red carpet by storm, with fashion-forward A-listers embracing the product-heavy, super-glossy fingerwaved style.
Actress Evan Rachel Wood is the perfect model for fingerwaves, with her cute crop dressed up in perfectly sculpted waves at every event this season.
Martin Cole Owner of Klickers, Rugby says: "I just love the 1920s looks and as we can see from the catwalks it's about to hit the high street in a big way too."
"Everything about 1920s style makes a statement and certainly very feminine. It's all about sleek crops, statement headbands, finger waves, headscarves and beautiful clothes. It's going to be fabulous!"
