Topshop autumn/winter 2014: get the hair look

Anthony Turner created teenage delinquent hair for the Topshop Autumn/Winter 2014 show, but avoided the obvious route to create hair that was sickly sweet rather than grungy.
The show: Topshop Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Anthony Turner for L'Oreal Professionnel
The look: Straight, one-length hair with a centre parting. Hair isn't flat - it maintains an airy lightness and moves as the model's work - a tiny tweak of texture on the back of the head was added at the last minute too, as though the girl had been up to something naughty.
The inspiration: Delinquent schoolgirls. Anthony was keen to avoid the obvious route of 'bad' hair for this look though and went the opposite way, creating hair that was sickly sweet rather than grungy.
"Think of that Wednesday Addams kind of girl," said Anthony. "She has these long, innocent-looking braids but she's naughty. She looks sweet, but she'd kill you in your sleep," he added, with a laugh.
The key product: L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil
Get the look
1. Prep hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni.Art Pli and style in a centre parting.
2. Blow-dry the hair smoothly, ensuring it isn't flat and maintains an airy, light texture.
3. Even up the length of any models with layers to create an 'innocent' one-length, square shape.
4. Once hair is dry and smooth, add Mythic Oil throughout the lengths to give hair a quality finish.
5. Just before models walk out on the catwalk, tweak a a section at the crown by rubbing with the palm. Anthony explained this as a girl that had been up to no good - she'd brushed her hair out after, but missed a bit.
