Topless hairdressing reaches rock bottom
I'm usually the first to moan about all the red tape burdening small businesses, but I'm quite pleased the latest innovation to encourage men into salons in Australia is unlikely to catch on in the UK, for a hole host of legislative reasons. The gentlemen's hair salon is making all its female hairdressers work topless.
According to reports, The owner of Hotcuts, Wojtek Wasilewski, came up with the idea 18 months ago but it took him a while to find four women who were willing to work semi-naked. (Really?!)
'Business is booming," he says. "The phone has been ringing off the hook."
Well in the UK, female hairdressers don't train for years and hone their skills as professional stylists to be treated as over-exposed eyecandy for letchy punters, Mate!!
