Across the evening the crowd were treated to varied demonstrations including interpretations of current catwalk trends including metallic shades, fruit inspired colour bases like apricot as well as smoky blues and punchy coppers and show-stopping gold tones.
The audience was also privy to next year's trend predictions with strawberry and sunflower blonde as well as rose gold and metallic inspired tones being cited as big colour trends for next year.
Colour Project Leader Michelle Griffin was joined by Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year Andy Heasman from Rush for the special guest interview. Andy gave an insight into how his career started and how it led him to become involved in the Rush Salon Group, which now boasts 76 salons. This year has been a particular highlight for him with various industry recognition as well as being announced as Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year at the prestigious Fellowship Luncheon & Awards.
Evangeline Barrett, from BLONDZ Hair, said “Last night was my first time attending Colour Night and it was amazing! I feel so lucky to have been able to get a ticket for the sold out event and I wasn’t disappointed what I saw on stage. The line-up was incredible and everyone had such different techniques and ideas. I cannot wait to take it back to the salon I work in!”
