Tigi inspirational youth 2012 show at salon international
Anthony Mascolo kicked off the TIGI Inspirational Youth show at Salon International 2012 by welcoming the audience to a presentation that celebrated hair, fashion and art. "The future is the young, and we need to invest in them," he said. "I was given that opportunity when I was young and I strongly believe in it."

The Inspirational Youth team first appeared on big screens at the side of the stage, where a video showed their journey to date including session style work, client relations training and collaborating with students from the London College of Fashion.
Then the models took to the stage to show off some of the team's impressive work, which featured dual contrasting textures such as wet look versus rough waves. A live demonstration followed, with each team member explaining the look they were creating with the help of Nick Irwin, Akos Bodi, Maria Kovacs and Linda Evans.
An interesting element of the show was the decision to invite two illustrators on stage, where they sketched the action as it took place resulting in striking fashion imagery.
After each team member had created their final styles, which were inspired by everything from teddy boys to Cubism to the waves in the sea, all the models returned to the stage for a spectacular catwalk show. Finally, the team members gathered at the front of the stage, where they were given a well-deserved round of applause by the large audience.
