These are the most successful hairstyles on hinge & tinder With restrictions being lifted and vaccines becoming the norm, it’s time to refresh those old pictures on your dating apps - but which hairstyles fare the best on platforms such as Hinge and Tinder? Hair and aesthetics experts at Vera Clinic have recently conducted research into which hair looks have been the most eye-catching when trying to get matches online. They did so by surveying 4050 people (2,058 men and 2,002 women) on their habits and preferences when it comes to dating in the digital age, and then analysing the results to work out how many average matches per person with a certain hairstyle got on Twitter.   What’s the best hairstyles for women on Hinge and Tinder? For females, it was revealed that women with their hair 'down and wavy' would receive the most matches (62 per month on average), with Waleed Taleb, a hair transplant and aesthetics specialist at Vera Clinic, commenting: “Long, wavy hair screams femininity, and men's preference for long hair is due to the fact that long hair requires substantial commitment of money, time, and daily care."  He continued: “Such factors would indicate that a woman has a good financial status, self-respect, and concern for her overall health and well being; these are obviously desirable qualities in a partner. According to evolutionary theory, features considered attractive by the opposite sex serve as indicators of reproductive fitness, and the quality and length of hair serves as a marker of genetic strength and overall health.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CSPS-5nIalc/ Plaited hair came in second place (58 matches) and the high bun in third (55 matches), with the latter seeing a recent surge in popularity due to influencers such as Jess Hunt and Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague who can regularly be seen sporting the look on Instagram. The least successful hairstyle for women was a low ponytail, getting an average of 21 matches per month, and the second least successful style was a cropped, shorter hairstyle, getting 22 matches.   What’s the best hairstyles for men on Hinge and Tinder? https://www.instagram.com/p/CP-629Cplt8/ According to the study, the ‘Jack Grealish curtains’ look was the most popular look for men currently, with anyone adopting the signature headband look as worn by the English Euros star gaining around 52 matches per month on average. Waleed said: “We’ve seen an increase in men coming into the clinic asking for Jack Grealish-style curtains; and wanting hair transplants to achieve the look. It seems his appearance in the Euros has started a hair revolution!” The second most popular look turned out to be the most frequently occurring- the standard short back and sides, which would gain 48 matches per month on average, and was sported by 658 of the 2048 men surveyed. Close after this was the man-bun, gaining 44 matches per month on average. The least successful hairstyle for men on dating apps was a combover, with 12 matches on average in the month of July, followed by a spiky hair-do, with 14 matches on average.   Other results Other data collected included that the most popular hairstyle for females on their main dating app picture was down and straight, with 521 of the 2002 women surveyed having this; and that men get less matches on average than women on dating apps.
