If you've never been along to Salon International I don't think you can appreciate the sheer scale, passion and creativity of the event.
And if yesterday gave me a taster, today is totally wild! The Hair Show is heaving and there are live shows on every stage you walk past.
Just to give you a feel these are some of the weird and wonderful sights I've witnessed so far - I'll let you decide whether they fall into the weird or wonderful category!
- The British Hairdressing Awards finalists photos - breathtakingly beautiful
- A model wandering in a Union Jack puff ball dress - the girl looks pretty cool, but I still say that Geri Halliwell has a lot to answer for
- The creation of magazine covers on the HJ stand - from the initial hair styling through the photography and airbrushing stages and onto the front cover: a real eye opener
- A model dressed in a wedding dress having her long hair pinned up and hidden so that it looked like a short hair cut (I think you had to see it to believe it!) by Patrick Cameron on the Babyliss Pro stage
- Too-beautiful-for-their-own-good 'Are You Gorgeous?' models wandering around with the paparazzi photographer taking snaps for the new HJi Image is Everything logo
- My favourite sight by a country-mile so far on the KOS Pro stand - a barber removing the model's ear and cheek hairs by dabbing it with a lit stick - yes, you read that right! For the record, the finished result was pretty impressive.
