The Oscars 2021 Hair Looks That Stole The Show

And the award goes to... Amanda Seyfried

https://www.instagram.com/p/COG9Oa5hgjc/ Simon Hill, owner at Sesh Hairdressing said: "Amanda Seyfried oozed classic Hollywood glamour last night as she walked the Oscars red carpet. From her hair to her dress and makeup her look was elegant with an air of retro glamour throughout. Her signature deep side parting was updated with a twist this year as some side swept waves were added for a little extra drama to frame her gorgeous face. Lifting all the hair away from her face and neck like this makes for a very elegant and beautiful finish as you see her back and focus on her collarbone area. For styles like this the devil is in the detail. Take time to prepare the hair to smooth all cuticles and allow you to create that perfect finish with zero flyaways. A high quality finishing spray is also needed to secure the hair in place and ensure it will last throughout the night."

And the award goes to... Zendaya

Robert Eaton, creative director at Russell Eaton salons said:
"Zendaya's look was stunning. Her mermaid inspired hair was styled in a middle parting with loose, textured, waist length waves, resulting in the ultimate boho chic red carpet look.
Jay Birmingham, salon owner added: "Zendaya’s super long hair at the Oscars was everything! The xxl length hair combined with the sleek middle parting and gorgeous texture created a mermaid like vibe. I loved that her hair was pushed back off her shoulders and tumbled down her back to showcase the front of her dress and her stunning necklace. Extensions or a wig would definitely be used on this occasion to give Zendaya that length. The texture in her hair could be created using a waver followed with a texturising spray like JOICO Beach or Body Shake to add volume and definition to the waves. This look is so on trend for 2021 and it is incredible to see more relaxed, on trend looks like this making it on the red carpet."

And the award goes to... Margot Robbie

https://www.instagram.com/p/COHIAlGHKnn/ Brian 'Leo' Mccallum, owner of Roar Hair and Beauty said: "Margot Robbie stepped out the box with her Oscars 2021 hairstyle and we are here for it. She opted for something completely different to her signature textured, blonde long bob. Her overall look was soft, floral and romantic and her hairstyle captured that perfectly in my opinion. The fringe framing her face added an air of softness to her look and the loose ponytail tied at the back of her neck gave a totally relaxed vibe. Her fringe was slightly feathered and blended beautifully into her hair around her face. From the front your eye could almost be tricked into thinking it was a short bob but from the back her relaxed ponytail really completed the look."
Melissa Timperley is also obsessed with Margot Robbie's look. She said:
"Margot Robbie's look is simply gorgeous. Face framing honey highlights combined with a soft fringe and a loose, slightly textured low pony results in effortlessly glamorous hair."

And the award goes to... Vanessa Kirby

https://www.instagram.com/p/COH2ZsJL_EJ/ Kevin Paul Finnell at F&M Hairdressing said: "Vanessa Kirby was simply beautiful at last night’s Oscars – her chosen dress and hair style matched perfectly together and she showed just how impactful simplified glamour can be. Vanessa chose a beautiful up do with matched perfectly with her Gucci pale pink gown. Her hair was pulled back, with two over lay sections into a mid level twisted bun, with a small flick to add some creativity to the look. This style is so easy to achieve, however the sleekness of the style should be at the forefront of your mind at all times. A strong hold hairspray such as Catwalk by TIGI Firm Hold Spray is fantastic for keeping the style in place at all times."

And the award goes to... Reese Witherspoon

https://www.instagram.com/p/COG4CsYgywz/ Gill Berry, JOICO European Design Team member said: "Living her very best blonde life, Reese Witherspoon opted for a very relaxed hair style on this years red carpet. A natural looking, soft and subtle look was her goal which was perfectly achieved with her opting for a low, key straight style, with a layer of volume under the hair to give a slight lift. This partnered perfectly with her pleated gown. In recreating this look, hair should be washed using JOICO Blonde Life Shampoo and Conditioner to allow the colour to be vibrant and fresh and finished with a beautiful shine spray."

And the award goes to... Halle Berry

https://www.instagram.com/p/COHHjPYjN5T/
Dylan Brittain, owner of Rainbow Room International’s George Square Salon, Schwarzkopf UK Ambassador, International Artistic Director at Rainbow Room International said:
"Halle Berry showed up to this year’s Oscar’s sporting a brand new bob hairstyle and it looked so chic. The bob hit just above the jaw and was angled, sharp and paired with a super short, textured side fringe, giving the look an even edgier finish and helping make her eyes really pop. This is a cut that’s incredibly on trend for spring/summer 2021 and I loved that she wore her bob more textured in appearance than sleek and smooth for a messier take on the trend."
Kerry Mather from KJM Salons added:
"I love Halle Berry's new sharp bob with micro fringe. She's always looked amazing with short hair and this look is so chic."

And the award goes to.... H.E.R

https://www.instagram.com/p/COG74rVs57O/
Mark McCarthy, owner of MARKDAVID said:
"H.E.R.’s hair look at the 2021 Oscars was definitely one of my favourites! The look was incredibly glam and paired with her glittery jumpsuit, it definitely ensured all eyes were on her on the red carpet. H.E.R’s hair was incredibly long in length and she wore it draped to one side in cascading waves, which were styled in the same direction to create a truly mesmerising hair look. Her side fringe was gently flicked to one side and at the opposite side she had a single curl that really gave her hairstyle that added wow factor. I believe her hair would have also been finished with a shine spray, serum or oil, giving it that incredible mirror like shine."

And the award goes to... Andra Day

https://www.instagram.com/p/COG5rQOLD-9/ Nikita and Jonathan Fisher, owners of Palmer Fisher London said: “We absolutely love Andra's curly up do! The ringlets fall perfectly on to Andra's face and the pulled out pieces soften the look, the overall look is beautiful – we are literally obsessed!”
