The Nomad Barber - aka Miguel Gutierrez of the Nomad Barbershop, London has been named HJ's Barber of the Year.
Miguel battled it out with
five other finalists in a live showdown held at Salon International.
The competition, sponsored by Andis, saw hundreds of photographic entries whittled down to a final six, who were then invited to recreate their looks live in the Salon Competition area.
The prestigious judging panel comprised Jim Shaw of Essensuals in Billericay, Chris Foster from the Refinery in Mayfair, B.O.M.B Squad member Martin Fox and Bruce Bock from sponsor Andis.
Miguel's win was announced on the HJ Stage by HJ Men editor Matthew Batham. He says: "Miguel demonstrated real technical skill and the finished look was both on-trend and commercial, incorporating a strong fade and a textured top."

Commenting on his win, Miguel said: "Winning HJ's Barber of the Year was a really great honour for me. Being a long-term fan of HJ Men and being able to represent all the barbers out there on this scale was a big achievement. 2014 is just proving to get better and better for me."
This is the second year that HJ has hosted the Barber of the Year competition at Salon International, with
Darryn Pitman scooping the inaugural award.
