The most searched for hairstyles 2022, revealed

The most searched for hairstyles for 2022 so far have been revealed from UK hair extension brand, Gee Hair. With summer fast approaching, clients are feeling more than ready for a fresh new look and feel. But which are the most searched hairstyles so far? Last month, we looked at new findings from Milk + Blush. Now, we look at new research findings from Gee Hair as they reveal the top three hairstyles women have been searching for April 2022. The study looked into google searches worldwide and revealed the following: The mullet lovers are going to be ecstatic!

1.   Shag/Mullet

This edgy look has proved itself popular this year after making a come back from the 1970’s. Data shows searches for the shag/mullet cut have risen a major 110% since the beginning of the year and has been seen on stars including Miley Cyrus. You can read more about the look here.

2.   Curtain bangs

It seems the curtain bangs are still an extremely favoured choice for this year, suiting a great variety of hair lengths, types and textures. Findings have shown searches for curtain bangs have risen by a huge 250%. The timeless style has been seen on the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez, it’s no wonder why the look is so popular.

3.   Braided hairstyles

Braided hairstyles are in third for the most searched hairstyles, after being searched 140K times worldwide in the past month. With braids being rocked by stars including Leigh-Anne Pinnock, to 'baby' or 'bubble braids' as seen on stars such as Hailey Bieber, braided hairstyles are hot topic for clients right now.
