And my award for hairstyle of the England football squad goes to...David James.

This man doesn't get the attention he deserves as a style icon who changes his hair more often than his goal-keeping gloves. I doubt if it will even look like this by the time he arrives in South Africa.

A similar look on Afro hair can be created by using a conditioner for dry/damaged hair after shampooing, and, while the conditioner is still on, using a wide-toothed comb to loosen the curls.
