The hair looks at the central saint martins white show The Central Saint Martins White Show is a true rite of passage for the BA students that enrol at the prestigious fashion university. The showcase is the first big project that the students work on and is a first chance for them to express their creative prowess. The use of all white material makes the students focus on the basics of creating garments – cutting, finishing and playing with textures. With the longstanding relationship between Central Saint Martins and L'Oréal Professionnel the brand offered up their brand new ID artists to create the hair for the show. The vision and styling lead came from Richard Phillipart. central saint martins white show richard phillipart When we asked Richard the inspiration behind the hair look, he referred to the fact that the show is a baptism for the students as they start their journey as a fashion designer. The hair referenced this in the wet-look and piecey texture as if the models have just emerged from the water.
