If you’re heading to
Salon International, don’t miss the stage presentations that will be taking place in the main
Hair Show. You will be able to see some of the country’s hottest hairdressers live at work, demonstrating the latest trends and techniques. Allow plenty of time to make your way around the show, because there’s going to be plenty to see. Here’s a taster of what you can expect…
 | “We have some exceptionally exciting artists lined up for the HJ stage this year. Throughout the three days a long list of inspirational hairdressers will be demonstrating cutting and styling techniques. It’s a great way to get the very latest trends directly from some of the country’s most inspiring hairdressers, who include members of the Saks Brighton artistic team, Haringtons, Hooker & Young, Robert Eaton and 2006 British Hairdresser of the Year, Andrew Barton. Following the success of our collaboration with Creative Wasp Studios last year, they will once again be working their magic on stage. Professional photographer Pete Webb will be capturing the final looks from each show and demonstrating how a magazine front cover results from a photo shoot.” |
Jayne Lewis-Orr, publisher/editor-in-chief, Hairdressers Journal International “Great Lengths is set to wow visitors with the launch of our Dual Arm Air Pressure application system. It gives extensionists speed and precision in one system, and we will be demonstrating this on stage. We will be showcasing our extensions technologies, human hair extensions and our haircare product range. Our stage schedule includes the Great Lengths International Dance Troupe and multi-award winning Cutting Room Creative, who will present a show called Tomorrow’s Look.”
Debby Zoltie, managing director, Great Lengths UK“BaByliss Pro will be keeping up the excitement with the return of the ‘fishbowl’, where you can watch our team prepping hair before going on stage. And, on stage, we will be showcasing some of the UK’s hottest talent. You can see creations by Patrick Cameron and Paul Falltrick, while the Headmasters creative team, fronted by Zoë Irwin and Phil Gallagher, will be creating hot-off-the-catwalk looks. There’s a new BaByliss Pro crew, including Sharon Peake from Ethos Hairdressing, Clive Boon from Boons Hairdressing and Nicola Hullatt from West Row Hairdressing. Plus, don’t miss Chris Foster, Barber of the Year, whose show will be packed with amazing styles by Forfex Professional – the barbering arm of BaByliss Pro.”
Rob Sidebotham, professional division manager, BaByliss Pro “Schwarzkopf Professional will have a live stage featuring the best hairdressing talent in the industry including Lisa Shepherd, Brooks & Brooks, Rainbow Room, Charlie Taylor and many more. They’ll be giving their interpretations of Schwarzkopf’s Essential Looks trend predictions for autumn/winter.”
Nick Stapells, business partnership manager, Schwarzkopf Professional
“The Fellowship stage will host a spectacular three days of inspirational platform presentations. This year the keyword is education, a concept that has always been synonymous with the Fellowship and lies at the core of quality hairdressing. There will be three podiums, where some of the top names in the industry will showcase their work. Watch out for the FAME Team and Project X presentations, which are sure to dazzle with their youthful enthusiasm and confirm the calibre of education that is generated by the Fellowship.”
Frank Shipton, chairman, The Fellowship for British Hairdressing“I believe that as educators we should share our new ideas with other hairdressers – and what better place than the platform of Salon International? We’ll be presenting our new collection, Instinctive, throughout each day of the show. We’ll be demonstrating our latest cutting and finishing techniques and presenting the cuts that make up the collection. There will also be members from our educational team available to provide information on our courses.”
Anthony Mascolo, international creative director, TIGI“Wella Professionals is delighted to be showcasing its products at Salon International for the third year running. With dedicated stands, a host of hairdressing stars and a retail area, this year is set to be the best yet! Our stage will feature top UK platform artists and ‘Best of British’ teams Marc Antoni, D&J Ambrose, Toni & Guy, hob salons, Saco, Ishoka, Patrick Cameron, Ken Picton, Angels, Regis and Bloww, with exclusive preview shows of the Wella Professionals Trend Vision 08 new trends.”
