Then you need to get your entry together for The Hair & Barber Council's Hairdressing Student of the Year competition at Salon International. To take part, competitors need to create a finished look and submit two photos of their model. The highest eight marks in each level chosen by our online panel of celebrity hairdressers will be invited to re-create their look in front of a live audience at Salon International this October. The winners will be announced that same day on the HJ stage, the two overall winners will receive fantastic prizes including a day with Andrew Barton at his salon. Level 2 entrants need to create a ‘red carpet’ glamour look worthy of a glamorous carpet event. Inspiration should come from events such as prom, celebrities at the Oscars, BAFTAs and film premieres, including stunning styling that showcase skill and product use. The Level 3 entrants must show a cut & blow-dry reflecting a commercial innovative look. Create an on-trend fashion focused haircut and finish that shows off cutting, styling and colour skills. All competitors on the day will receive a certificate of participation and a goodie bag. To enter head to haircouncil.org.uk today to download the entry pack.
