Charity Safe Child Thailand is calling for hairdressers in the UK to support its efforts to save female victims of exploitation by offering them vocational training, including hairdressing.
Some 3,000 women who come to the centre in Chonburi each year, seeking vocational training to escape human trafficking, sexual abuse, domestic violence and prostitution.
To maintain this vital support Safe Child Thailand needs to raise £20,000 to keep the centre’s vocational training running. The charity is asking hairdressers to help by donating £1 from every haircut for a month, as well as organising other charity events in salon.
