#techniquetuesday: alan d hairdressing courses launched

Innovative new courses, under the banner #techniquetuesday, have been announced by the Team at Alan d Hairdressing Education, the London & Ipswich Hair & Barber Schools led by education leader Edward Hemmings. Following a year of catch-up after the pandemic closures ensuring that over 90% of their apprentices successfully achieved their qualifications, Alan d have launched a new hybrid learning method.

What is it?

Bi-weekly on a Tuesday morning, Alan d will broadcast a workshop concentrating on the foundation skills; Cutting, Colouring, Long Hair & Barbering. These will be free to access on Tik Tok & Instagram Live. The live streams will be monitored, and questions asked will be fed to the Educator whilst they work. Following the lives, there will be an opportunity for viewers to have a virtual tour of the schools & a Q&A session. The second exciting #techniquetuesday opportunity is a unique one-day course. Simply bring a model or buy a mannequin head and allow our team to help you achieve the look or technique that’s been a constant struggle. Maybe it's one of these 'most popular hairstyles of 2022'?

Return of the online workshops

“During the pandemic, our incredible team were able to keep educating daily and we built up a fantastic community across the UK & beyond. When we reopened the schools this time last year, we committed to looking after our own students first and therefore little time was available for online workshops. Now we have the time to restart these. Nothing will replace face-to-face, but we know how valuable online learning can be”, commented Edward Hemmings. “Inspiration for our new one-day course was created from the reaction to our online work during the lockdowns. People were seeking specific techniques and we’ve turned this into a stand-alone course. It’s ideal for a Hairdresser or Barber who is time-poor and needs practise on a specific technique; perhaps they’ve just moved to a new shop and the clientele has a slightly different emphasis”.
