After the tragic death of barber and hairdresser
Sam Wall, the industry has well and truly mobilised to form
Team Mr Sam Wall in a bid to raise money to support men's health and Movember.
Each member of Team Mr Sam Wall will be running 60km each throughout November for the men's charity Movember.
So far the team, which includes Kevin Luchmun, Ky Wilson, Alan Beak, Jody Taylor, Leah Hayden, Robi Ham and Charlie Cullen, has raised £7,229 and counting.
And with the team growing day by day (they've grown from just three original team members at the beginning of the month to 21 as of Monday 9 November) they're set to make a huge difference and mobilise the barbering community at a difficult time.
Each team member has their own dedication of running 60km each throughout the month of November, totalling a great 1,260km (this is around the same distance between John O’Groats and Land’s End).
The official fundraising page reads:
"We're raising funds and awareness this Movember for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives. We need your help. Please donate to support men's health.
"To our beloved friend, brother, son Mr Sam Wall. We doing this for you. We know you’re looking down on us and I know for sure you’re running with us!!!"
The Movember charity aims to make a difference to men's health, donating funds to projects focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Globally, on average one man takes their own life every minute of every day – and 3 out of 4 suicides in the UK are men.
It's amazing to see the industry taking positive action and coming together for such a vital cause. If you'd like to donate click
