Take a dive for inspiration

Designers have long been fascinated with the world underwater and no more so than the Spring/Summer 2012 shows by Versace, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and Mary Katrantzou, where models walked the catwalks adorned in dresses and skirts with beautiful blue, tropical designs.

 And hairdressers have long been looking at the waterworld for inspiration. Whether it is the scales of fish, hues of tropical animals or the way plants move. Skyler McDonald and Angelo Seminara are just two hairdressers who looked to anemones, jelly fish and plants as inspiration for their recent collections, capturing the movement, colours and textures only found deep in the ocean.
