Swine flu halts tigi's world release
TIGI have had to cancel their 'World Release' hair show because of the outbreak of Swine Flu in Mexico.
The international show was scheduled to take place in Cancun, Mexico, on May 16th and 17th to an international audience of hairdressers and was planned to launch TIGI's new Rockaholic styling range, as well as their latest collection Unity.
However, the company have decided to put the event on hold in the interest of safety. "This Monday night after listening to the news in the UK and USA we took the decision to postpone our 'World Release' Show in Cancun," says Anthony Mascolo.
"Obviously we are really upset and disappointed, as the planning has been going on for months, but we couldn't possibly put all the hairdressers, models and our own team at risk."
After months of planning, TIGI's Bed Head studio in London is stacked with props, inoavtive hair pieces and costumes galore; but the company are determined that the hard work will not go to waste and the show will go on later in the year.
Anthony adds: "We are currently discussing what alternatives we have, but I want to let everyone know that we will definitely be reorganising our show."
