Steven was nominated by his expectant wife Emily who said she was tired of having to spend hours preparing Steven for work every morning. After seeing the competition on Facebook, she decided it was time for an intervention.
On his dramatic makeover, Steven commented: “We were thrilled to find out we’d won the competition. It’s been four years since I shaved my beard and it’s great to have it treated so well. The finished look is beyond what I could have imagined – it’s the best haircut and makeover I’ve ever had. Kieron has given me some tips on how I can maintain the look, so I’ll definitely stick with it.”
Kieron Fowles, Supercuts’ Creative Director, oversaw the transformation at the ghd studio in London and felt it was timely due to the brand recently releasing a new grooming package. He said;“As male grooming has become more popular over the last couple of years, men are starting to embrace grooming and looking good. Keeping in with iconic trends which are playful, flexible and versatile, I gave Steven a groomed gentleman finish with a modern twist to suit his personality and style.”
Emily wasn’t left out of the fun - she received the VIP treatment from Kieron as well as award winning make-up artist, Lan Nguyen-Grealis. Working with the likes of Paloma Faith, Sugababes and many other high profile celebrities, Lan has established herself as a well-known figure in the industry.
To cap their luxe pampering experience, Steven and Emily also received a ghd goody bag each, an overnight stay in the capital and £500 spending money.
