Sun awareness week

Professional self-tanning range, He-Shi, launched a 'protect your skin' campaign to coincide with Sun Awareness Week - which kicked off on 11 May.

Every Express Liquid Tan product sold during the first two weeks of May saw a £1 pledge to the British Skin Foundation Skin Cancer Appeal.

Sun Awareness Week is designed to raise awareness of safe and responsible exposure to harmful UVA/B rays. It is well reported that skin cancer is on the increase.

"Proper use of sun protection and limited use of sunbeds will help individuals reduce the risk of skin cancer,  and self-tanning is one easy- step everyone can take to achieve a healthy glow without risk," states He-Shi.

Every penny raised for the British Skin Foundation Skin Cancer Appeal goes directly into research into finding treatments and hopefully, cures for skin cancer.
